General Description:

- The Assistant Principal
- House and School Environment will be responsible and accountable to the College Executive Team. This role sits within the College leadership structure and in conjunction with the function of the College Executive Team.

The Assistant Principal
- House and School Environment directly reports to the Assistant Principal
- Engagement in Learning and is responsible for implementation of priorities outlined in the School Strategic Plan and the Annual Implementation Plan.

The primary responsibility of the Assistant Principal
- House and School Environment is to lead and manage the 4 House Teams with a direct focus on supporting the adherence to school policies on engagement, behaviour and attendance. Each House Team consists of 4 Leading Teachers and 12 Year Level Coordinators.

To ensure policies and procedures are followed and standards maintained, the Assistant Principal
- House and School Environment will exercise appropriate judgement to resolve problems referred by the House Team. The Assistant Principal
- House and School Environment will lead and provide direction to House Leaders and Year Level Coordinators on student engagement and wellbeing in a timely and responsive manner.

The Assistant Principal
- House and School Environment is responsible for and monitoring student outcomes that includes responding to attendance and engagement trends at a cohort level. They will oversee the implementation of effective supports in student engagement, wellbeing and operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Typical Duties include:

- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in one¿s own practice as both a teacher and an educational leader and assist others in their professional growth.
- This role will have a teaching allotment of up to two classes.
- To provide leadership, direction, and support of House Leaders and Year Level Coordinators, including the negotiation of specific roles and duties of house teams.
- To lead the House Leaders and their Teams in overseeing the implementation of College policies in relation to engagement, wellbeing and attendance as outlined by the School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan.
- To develop a team identity and culture, and promote this through a range of activities, including celebrations for individual and team success.
