The Manager, Health Infrastructure Assets Support will be responsible for supporting the implementation of asset management projects within the Asset Performance and Compliance team in Health Infrastructure Division. The role will also be responsible for providing assets technical support to the department's program areas and health agencies on asset management operational issues.

The role will play a key part in implementing the asset management transformation plan across the health system. This will include multiple initiatives encompassing assets strategic planning, data collection, infrastructure pipeline assets handover and establishing asset management frameworks.

The role will also be responsible for managing a team in delivering multiple projects and providing technical support on various assets related issues. The role will support the Director, Asset Performance and Compliance in establishing asset management capabilities across the sector.

The successful applicant will need to have a strong background in project management, asset management and managing engineering and building infrastructure assets. Additionally, the successful applicant will need to have excellent stakeholder engagement skills capable of building a network of collaborators across multiple organisations and program areas; have the capacity to work flexibly as a member of a broader team; and operate in a complex and sensitive government environment.

**Accountabilities**:

- Manage and support the delivery of multiple asset management projects as part of the transformation plan implementation with a strong focus on infrastructure planning, data collection, maintenance standards and asset management capabilities development.
- Manage the Health Infrastructure Assets Support team in providing technical support and advice on infrastructure asset issues including engineering infrastructure and facilities management to health agencies and various program areas across the department.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with the department's program areas and health services relevant stakeholders to coordinate the implementation of asset management initiatives.
- Authoritatively oversee and participate in infrastructure planning and assets transition processes across the asset lifecycle stages.
- Prepare and present detailed, comprehensive reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters.
- Be responsible for overseeing, monitoring and delivering projects using internal or external resources in accordance with relevant legislation, government regulations and guidelines.
- Oversee all project activities, ensuring deliverables and standards of excellence are achieved on time and on budget.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
- Ensure risk is effectively identified and managed.
- Build strong working relationships and competently negotiate with stakeholders and external institutions including branch team members, and consultants to ensure work is prioritised and delivered on time and to appropriate quality standards.
- Exercise independent, professional judgement and provide management guidance to identify and promptly respond to, and resolve, key issues and risks.
- Demonstrate in all your interactions a collaborative, can do and professional manner and an ability to deftly work across multiple and competing commitments.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
