**About the opportunity**
Join the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre within the College of Health and Medicine, a leader in translational research and innovative educational programs for dementia.
The role as Lecturer in Dementia Studies involves delivering undergraduate and/or postgraduate dementia education programs and contributing to multidisciplinary research focused on the care, cause, and prevention of dementia.
**What you’ll do**:
- Make a sustained and effective contribution to achieving the University’s strategic objectives and operational responsibilities.
- Conduct high-quality research with national and international impact, secure external funding, publish findings, and supervise research higher degree students to meet and exceed Level B performance expectations.
- Deliver exemplary undergraduate and, if relevant, postgraduate coursework teaching.
- Manage and design the structure and content of award courses as required.
- Provide increasing academic leadership, particularly in fostering outstanding research and/or learning and teaching.
- Develop and maintain productive links within the University and with local, national, and interdisciplinary communities, professions, and industries.
**What we’re looking for**:
- A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
- A strong record of research with national and preferably international recognition, notable contributions to dementia research, high-quality publications, conference presentations, and success in securing external funding.
- Demonstrated achievement in University-level teaching and learning.
- Effective contributions to building and maintaining productive links locally and nationally with the discipline, profession, industry, and wider community.
**Salary details**
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $150,759 comprising base salary within the range of $110,992 to $128,854 plus 17% superannuation.
