**Role Description**

Reporting directly to the Procurement & Production Manager, in a small team, this role offers good growth opportunities for the right person. Areas of responsibility comprise:

- **Procurement (Local)**_
- Raise, Issue and Expedite Purchase Orders to ensure timely supply of goods, requiring liaison with local suppliers.
- Communicate and Negotiate with local suppliers re Price Information and Market fluctuations, ensuring competitive pricing and maintaining a good working relationship with suppliers.
- Review new products for market suitability. Plan and oversee the purchase of new products for sale, ensuring quality expectations, value and customer standards are met.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal management to ensure all new and current products are considered in sales promotion planning
- Investigate Invoice discrepancies through monitoring of deliveries to Purchase Orders.
- **Inventory Management**_
- Forecast and Manage Inventory across 3 Warehouse sites, and procurement budgets
- Work with Procurement Manager on Inventory Control to avoid ‘Out of Stocks’, minimise ‘Overstocks’ and ‘Obsolescent Stock’
- Work closely with Sales and Warehouse teams to optimise ‘Stock on Hand’, with consideration for seasonality while implementing Local procurement budget
- Prepare reports as required on Purchasing and Inventory usage
- Liaise with management to ensure all and current products are considered in long-term planning requirements for the business.
- Assist in stock movement through the warehouse as required
- **Packing/Production Facility Liaison**_
- Liaise with and consider lead times for raw materials through the Packing Facility to market
- Schedule Production timetables across the different brands
- Monitor Production rates to adjust resources and processes to ensure costs are kept within budgets

**Profile of Successful Applicant**
- At least 2 years purchasing experience in a similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong administrative skills, organised and with good attention to detail
- A strong team player with the willingness to be hands on when required
- Effective negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Understanding of procurement processes **strongly preferred**:

- Advanced numeric and computer skills, including MS Excel
- Food / Grocery experience is **preferred**

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
