**Description**:
**Your Role**: Trainee Buyer

Begin your buying career as a Trainee Buyer, supporting our Buying team, based in Homebush, Sydney. This is a full time, permanent opportunity with flexible work options.

In this important role, you will join a team that is at the heart of what makes Barbeques Galore unique: our products. As part of the Buying team, you will be involved in the journey of our products, from conception to sales floor. You’ll make a real impact on the shopping experience of our customers, helping us continue to offer great quality, well designed products that are built to last.

**As a Trainee Buyer, you’ll**:
Assist the Category Buying Manager in end-to-end buying processes, learning how to negotiate and build product ranges
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
Maintain confidential product and supplier records in our ERP system

Develop product launch and marketing materials

Collaborate with our in-house marketing team on promotions

Contribute with artwork and packaging design and manage a library of samples

contribute to and attend the barbeques galore conference and special events such as Bathurst 1000.

**Skills and Experiences**:

- Previous experience in a retail or sales environment preferred.
- Organised and detail-oriented, with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
