**About the role**:
Knauf is now looking for a Commercial and Astute **Market Development Manager** to join their team and lead the development of this product segment with the Australia business. This role will report to the Sales and Marketing Director for Knauf Gypsum Australia.

In this role you will be responsible for development and implementation of the strategic growth plan, market and product segmentation, supporting and development sales & marketing plans (working both with internal and external stakeholders), supply chain and technical support for the Knauf Modular Acoustic Mineral Fibre product range.

It would be expected that you would have a strong understanding of the current distribution channels within the interior linings industry and how to create value within these channels. A good understanding of specification process and strong ability to communicate at all levels within the commercial construction industry.
This role can be based out of any of our manufacturing sites across in **NSW, VIC or QLD.**

**To be successful in this role, you will**:

- Understand and map market segments to clearly identify current and future target opportunities
- Define distribution strategy, manage pricing and product positioning through current and future distribution channels
- Work with Knauf Gypsum sales and marketing teams to develop and implement agreed plans. Coordinate with Knauf Ceiling Solutions and align evolving sales tools with in the Knauf Gypsum group
- Provide ongoing training and support to the external and internal sales teams Ensuring Knauf/ MF maintains a position within the overall Knauf gypsum market offering. This will include specification support at project level where required
- Provide technical support, including understanding and maintaining requirements to meet local codes and standards. Onsite technical support where required
- Coordinate and work with supply chain team and demand planners to ensure both inventory demands, and growth pans complement each other
- Work in conjunction with local grid supplier (Rondo) to improve Grid /tile ratio through targeted distribution channels
- Liaise with KCS support team - reporting monthly on business activity, market data / research as requested, and annual volume budget development

**We are looking for people who**:

- 5 years + experience and in-depth knowledge of the construction industry, specifically internal linings ( A good understanding of the Australian Acoustic Mineral Fibre industry would certainly be advantageous )
- Working with distribution channels and awareness of how to create value within this segment
- Sales experience including A&D specification exposure & construction process
- A team player who can also work independently, strong communicator with good PC skills
- Demonstrate proven track record and a clear understanding of the target market needs
- Ability to travel from time to time when required
