Wenona is seeking a dynamic, experienced and passionate permanent Head of TAS to join our outstanding TAS faculty and to inspire our young women through classroom practice, refined professional knowledge and a commitment to high performance.

This is a full-time teaching/leadership position commencing in Term 3, 2023 (or at a mutually agreeable time). This role is a member of our broad academic leadership team and reports to our Dean of Academic Studies / Senior Deputy Principal.

**Key Priorities**
- Leadership of a high performing team of TAS teachers with full oversight of all teaching and learning in TAS 7-12.
- Leadership presence and experience, with a proven ability to manage and lead a range of staff across the faculty.
- Experience as an HSC marker, or a strong understanding of HSC assessment and marking processes to guide the faculty and less-experienced educators.
- Strong knowledge of NESA curriculum, assessment reporting processes, including developments with Australian Curriculum implementation in NSW.
- Ability to teach and aspire to the standards articulated in the Wenona Effective Teaching Cycle.
- Ability to support classroom teachers in the TAS faculty in their professional development through modelling best practice and encouraging collaboration.
- Experience in meeting the diverse learning needs of all students through planning and team teaching in a collaborative style.
- Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders, including students, teachers and parents to meet individual student learning needs.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively and sensitively across a broad range of audiences.
- A commitment to pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of young people
- An ongoing commitment to professional learning, including making a contribution to the broader educational community.
- An understanding of and commitment to the educational needs of girls and young women.
- A commitment to collaborative teaching practices and an ability to contribute to a team of professional educators.
- A willingness to contribute to the broader life of the school community.

**Education and Experience**
- Qualifications and experience teaching TAS

- NESA Accreditation
