- About The PositionOur College of Business and Law is searching for a highly motivated and innovative Student Engagement Coordinator to join our team. As the Student Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to actively engage students by implementing innovative strategies that effectively connect with the target audience.The Student Experience Coordinator will be responsible for organising student prizes, events, and digital engagement activities such as Open Day and Orientations. They will work closely with the Student Lifecycle Services team, academic staff, and external stakeholders to establish connections and collaborate with RMIT University Student Union (RUSU), student clubs, associations, and groups. Managing the recruitment and retention of Student Ambassadors and Interns is also an essential responsibility for promoting student engagement and belonging.About You-
The successful incumbent should possess an understanding of engagement strategies in a tertiary education environment and be able to lead and motivate direct and broader staff groups for high performance outcomes. Additionally, they should be able to deliver high-quality customer service, take initiative, problem solve, communicate effectively both verbally and written, and be adaptable to technological changes.To be successful in this position, you’ll have:Proven initiative and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to quickly extract the priority issues and, where appropriate, take-action without specific direction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct effective meetings and compose correspondence, minutes, and action-oriented reports.
- Proven experience in leading and motivating direct reports and broader staff groups to deliver high performance outcomes.-
