The role requires knowledge of electrical assets, transmission system plant and spares, and Asset information systems to facilitate required actions in monitoring and disposal of spares as well as providing advice and recommendations on spares requirements and availability when required for multiple Asset Streams.

The position will be responsible for regular monitoring of usage and holdings trending, maintenance and benefits analysis on spares holdings and usage to determine appropriate spares holdings and ensure that spares are correctly recorded and maintained within the stores system.

We are looking for a **Projects based Electrical person to support the team** to provide analysis and support to concurrent projects. This role will assist in developing processes to improve the maintenance system for use in the preparation of shutdowns and projects. This role is a great opportunity for a flexible and highly organised individual who has exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Reporting to the Senior engineering manager and working a diverse team within asset management team you will be:
Role Requirements:

- Monitor the levels of spares inventory to meet inventory budget targets and Spares Plans. Reviewing restocking requests, analysing usage trends, and identifying items of Spares that are obsolete.
- Setting and monitoring reordering levels and manage for existing and new spares as per Asset Managers approvals and Spares Policy levels
- Manage Spares to required Asset Management Spares policy and Plan documents as per Service Agreement levels with the Asset Manager
- Assessment of new spares requirements for new plant, new period orders, project or refurbished plant and recommending actions required
- Recommendation of new or additional spares including potential policy changes, procurement requirements, inventory impact and locations to relevant Asset Manager for endorsement and approval
- Contribute to Asset investigations on specific spares issues and prepare recommendations and supporting report as required.
- Provide regular reporting on spares policy inspections completion for required asset classes including confirming inspections are being completed to Spares Plan requirements. The position will be responsible for ensuring all requisite inspections are being completed to the required standards and include status in quarterly reporting.

Experience:

- Tertiary qualifications at degree level in electrical engineering or trades and equivalent relevant experience.
- Extensive understanding of project management systems, program administration and reporting in a capital intensive industry.
- Working Knowledge of corporate IT systems including a detailed knowledge of Computer management systems.
- Interpersonal skills (including written and oral communication), which will facilitate the achievement of maintenance and project objectives. Skills could be used when interacting with team members, managers, external customers, internal stakeholders at multiple levels, etc.
- A good knowledge of inventory management systems, expenditure procedure and purchasing policy.
- Awareness of regulatory, safety and the environment compliance requirements relating to the construction and maintenance of high voltage equipment.
- Ability to source information and provide advice promptly in urgent circumstances.
- Ability to analyse technical drawings, wiring diagrams, technical reports, test reports, contracts, agreements and quotations.
