You will have comprehensive training throughout your orientation, with ongoing learning and development. This includes:

- Specialist training opportunities
- Buddy shifts with CPA’s experienced Disability Support Practitioner
- Opportunity to complete a nationally recognised qualification such as Certificate III in Individual Support and/or a Certificate IV in Disability.

About the role

We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Disability Support Practitioner who has experience with very high behaviors to work alongside our amazing team at our group home in West Ryde. Due to the client's needs, we are looking for a female Disability Support Worker.

Your duties will include:

- Delivering personalised support in a group home setting by assisting clients at mealtimes, personal care, administrating medication and manual handling
- Supporting clients to make their own choices and build skills to be more independent
- Supporting clients to engage and participate in their community
- Building positive relationships with our clients
- Transporting clients, using CPA minivan, if applicable

**Requirements**:

- Must have 1 year experience working with severe behaviours of concern
- NSW Driver’s Licence
- Live locally to the locations mentioned above
- Triple COVID-19 vaccinated
