**About the role**:
We are currently seeking a passionate, driven and highly motivated Geographic Information System (GIS) professional to join our team.

You will manage one staff member and support a wide range of internal stakeholders. This role will report directly to the Manager Information Technology.

The GIS Coordinator is responsible for managing the development, delivery and utilisation of Council’s enterprise GIS platforms, enhancing and leveraging the investment in spatial infrastructure (data and software).

You will play a vital role in developing, maintaining and promoting GIS related systems, services, procedures and data to meet the changing needs of Council. This involves providing support and training to all GIS users within Council.

**Skills and experience require to perform the role**:

- Tertiary qualification in a spatial/GIS or related discipline or equivalent with several years’ relevant experience and/or lesser formal qualification with extensive industry experience.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly developed analytical, investigative and problem-solving (troubleshooting) skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience managing and leading a small team.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
