Quit Services Coordinator

Sandy Bay, Australia Cancer Council Tasmania Full time

We are on the look-out for a passionate and dynamic individual to join us as the Quit Services Coordinator, as we move to increase cessation support services for smoking and vaping.

As the Quit Services Coordinator you will lead a small, dedicated team in delivering high-quality, evidence-based smoking and vaping cessation support to all Tasmanians through the Tasmanian Quitline 13 7848, our telephone-based counselling service, with potential expansion to instant messaging and other service delivery channels.

In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of Quit Services, you will work to identify and implement strategies to increase knowledge of and access to our services while remaining connected to frontline service delivery by providing back-up service support.

Having qualifications and previous experience in counselling is a requirement of the role, preferably a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in counselling, psychology, social work, or a related field. Proven leadership, collaboration, management and analytical skills are highly desirable.

Sound interesting? It’s also an exciting time to be working in cessation support; new Federal regulations will see an increase in people wanting support to quit. With a focus on increasing reach and expansion of services, this is a great opportunity for the right person to contribute innovative, effective strategies to support people.

**How To Apply**
- In no more than two A4 pages (plus a CV) tell us who you are, why you are the best person for the job and our team, and briefly outline how you meet the selection criteria.
