**The Role**
Replacing the recently promoted Production Planner this is a rare opportunity to join this dynamic stable and growing global organisation. Well versed in production planning and working collaboratively across the organisation you’ll be responsible for production planning activities to ensure goods are produced on time for distribution.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Update master schedule of works to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts and customer order delivery requirements
- Cross check routine production orders and new production products to ascertain product data types, quantities, specification of products and scheduled delivery dates
- Analyse production specifications vs plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements
- Working to established standards and lead times, plan, and schedule workflow for each department
- Maintain and update work capacity availability
- Plan the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations to guide production workers
- Liaise with factory leadership team to determine order status
- Troubleshoot and respond to unforeseen events, altering planning as required
- Liaise with relevant internal/external stakeholders around the order process for manufactured and purchase of products
- Provide operational support to those with responsibility around the raw materials forecasting process
- Update and maintain manufactured parts master file
**Skills and Experience**
With a passion for and a strong understanding of production and planning, you’ll possess the ability to build strong relationships, have outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to make time critical decisions effectively. With minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, you must be able to compile realistic and detailed working schedules, have planning and analytical skills with strong Excel and ERP system experience, ideally SAP.
