As a Principal Business Manager within Building Policy, you will report to the Director of the Office of the Assistant Director General, Building Policy. Your role is integral in ensuring the efficient day-to-day coordination of financial, human resources, procurement, and administrative functions. You will be responsible for aligning these functions with corporate finance strategy and policy.

**Key Responsibilities**

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-level advice to the Senior Leadership Team on all aspects of financial performance and compliance. This includes budgeting, forecasting, and cash flows. Collaboration with the Finance Directorate is crucial, as you will monitor the activities and financial performance and provide monthly reporting to the Senior Leadership Team within departmental requirements.

Additionally, you will review and lead the effectiveness of systems and processes used within your team and implement changes to ensure efficiencies and continued business improvement. You will also contribute to the development, implementation, and review the operational plan and performance indicators, ensuring they meet financial business requirements. Managing the divisions records management, knowledge management, and business management systems will also be a part of your role.

You will develop and maintain strong professional relationships and networks within BP, the division, and other areas of the department to ensure effective integration, coordination, and liaison. Furthermore, you will manage and develop a team of business support staff engaged in the provision of business services, providing mentoring and assistance to administrative staff to ensure efficient and effective work practices and improvements in staff capability. Ad hoc reports and duties as directed by the Director or Assistant Director-General will also fall within your responsibilities, along with fostering an environment that values performance, customer service, continuous improvement, and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.
