**Role Description/Criteria**

Aquinas College is a Catholic Regional Co-educational Secondary College in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne with an enrolment of over 1700. We wish to appoint a dynamic, suitably qualified musician to the position of Instrumental Music Teacher - Strings. This is a 0.2 FTE fixed term position for the 2023 school year.

The successful applicant:

- Will have the ability to teach Violin & Cello
- Will have the experience and enthusiasm required to direct our Strings ensemble
- Will be willing to conduct individual as well as small group lessons
- Will be skilled at teaching Year 7 - 12 students including VCE groups and solo students
- Will participate in school music events as required from time to time
- Will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children
- Will have excellent communication skills
- Will have the ability to work successfully within a team
- Will have a current WWCC and Police Check

VIT Registration would be an advantage.
