**The Role**

You will be involved in researching and recommending or implementing flexible training, including gap training solutions, and in conducting effective evaluation of training, leading to continuous improvement. Your demonstrated program management experience and skills, and expertise with learning technology will allow you to quickly take responsibility for managing the Cell’s Foreign Language Upskilling And ENhancement Training (FLUENT) Program that currently incorporates short language courses and language software.

More generally, you will also contribute to LCC or higher command communications, including papers, newsletters, website and social media.

**About our Team**
The LOTE Capability Cell was set up in 2019 to provide joint coordination and oversight of Defence’s diverse LOTE capability. We are a small but high-performing team, led by the Director, a full-time ADF officer (LTCOL (E)). Two APS 6 positions, including the advertised role, and three Reserve (part-time) staff members currently report directly to the Director. LCC staff work both independently and as a team as well as within the unique and collegial Defence LOTE community, to achieve the Cell’s diverse and interesting work outcomes.

The LCC is one of several joint training/capability elements under the command of the ADF Training Centre within Australian Defence College at Weston Creek. Within this environment, you will be trusted to undertake your duties autonomously, expected to take pride in your work outcomes and supported to develop and achieve your personal and professional potential.

You are preferably familiar with the Defence Systems Approach to Defence Learning Framework (based on the ADDIE Model). Familiarity with LOTE training or capability would be an advantage, but is not essential. You will relish autonomy and responsibility and will also enjoy working on shared outcomes within a small, dedicated team.
