**local Government** organisation based in Toowoomba, services a regional population of 167,657 and employs a team of more than 1800 staff. A vacancy currently exists in the Finance and Business Strategy Group for a
**Program Leader -Talent & Retention.**
The
**Program Leader - Talent & Retention **is located within the People, Culture and Engagement Branch, reporting directly to the Manager. The Branch provides services to the organisation by working in partnership with branches to deliver high quality people solutions and timely, responsive, and consistent advice to our stakeholders. The role specifically plays a key role in the design and delivery of attraction and retention strategies and initiatives to provide a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
This position will provide leadership, guidance and support to a team of specialists who will work across the organisation to build capability and capacity at all levels.
The salary package range for this role is $109,817.33 to $123.936.67 pa plus 12.65% superannuation, 17.5% leave loading and a negotiable motor vehicle benefit. Our client also offers an Employee Assistance Program, access to the Fitness Passport Program, TOIL, free carparking and much more.
- Leading the development, implementation and ongoing review of contemporary attraction and retention strategies, policies and procedures
- Reviewing and analysing attraction and retention data and metrics to support executive decision-making and identifying improvements to programs, systems and processes.
- Leading and managing complex human resource related projects as required to ensure organisational and project requirements are met.
- Managing the organisation’s temporary employment program to support and complement resourcing requirements.
- Providing leadership and management of the Talent & Retention team and providing advice to hiring managers and the wider organisational team.
- Building and enhancing relationships with stakeholders to ensure attraction and retention is well-planned, business needs are met and satisfaction measured.

- A Bachelor degree in a Human Resources/Organisational Development related field
- Extensive experience in HR/organisational development
- Proven ability to manage, supervise and provide leadership to a small team
- High level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to consult, partner, negotiate, persuade and interact effectively at all levels
- Experience in talent management, organisational design, performance management, organisational management and change management is desirable
- Postgraduate qualifications in Leadership/Management is desirable
