Departmental Liaison Officers, play a critical role within the department and are rewarded with the opportunity to build extensive networks across all parts of TMR.

**Accountabilities include**: - Understand and interpret the department's policy context to provide accurate, timely and professional advice and support services to the Minister, the Director-General, senior officers in TMR and the Minister's Office. Effectively manage workflow systems and processes to ensure deadlines are clearly identified and met in a complex specialised environment. Maintain a broad interest and knowledge in current and emerging issues across the department, the Queensland Public Sector and Queensland community
- Develop rapport with key officers within the department and the office of the Minister, maintaining a professional approach at all times
- Act as the reference point for departmental and ministerial staff to provide authoritative, timely and professional advice on key business support processes
- Effectively represent the interests and reputation of the Director-General and Minister by providing effective and responsible liaison services for the internal and external stakeholders
- Take an active role in identifying ways in which departmental and ministerial staff can better serve stakeholders and improve liaison activities
- Contribute to the critical evaluation of documents and information to ensure issues are addressed as requested by ministerial staff
- Facilitate the resolution of complaints, current and emerging issues of concern raised with the Minster by the community and from Members of Parliament in a timely manner
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of induction material for new Departmental Liaison Officers to effectively transition into the role to understand the commitments, responsibilities and current and emerging matters and learning opportunities.
This role reports to Director and CLLO (Cabinet, Legislation and Executive Services).
