**The role**:
The Energy, Carbon & Resource Recovery Planner will plan for the future needs of our Water Recycling Plants (WRP) and work with other relevant teams across South East Water to measure, report on and reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, while developing and delivering programs and projects to ensure future targets are met. The role will provide leadership and execute projects that will enable us to deliver our energy plan and carbon emissions reduction pledge, and resource recovery opportunities and circular economy initiatives.

In addition the role will provide specialist energy and carbon-related input into broader South East Water projects, including works related to credits, offsets and carbon accounting, renewable energy and circular economy opportunities.

**Who are you?**:
To be successful in this role, you will require a bachelor degree in Engineering, Science, Economics (or similar) and have substantial relevant work experience relative to this role.

In addition you will have;
- Ability to undertake complex technical and analytical work
- Understanding of policy, regulations and economics that govern energy and carbon markets
- Some familiarity with energy and greenhouse emissions
- Experience in analysing business cases for energy, carbon or resource recovery projects
- Ability to lead and drive project teams
- Clear customer focus when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to write clear, unambiguous technical reports, business cases, project briefs and meeting minutes
- High level of verbal communication skills to inform, influence and exchange knowledge in a variety of settings
