SC1 Highly developed short-term intervention skills and experience in providing support to adolescents presenting with a range of issues who may be self-referred, teacher or parent referred.

SC2 Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of programs that foster resilience in young people and address their social, emotional, and educational needs.

SC3 Knowledge of case management and student support strategies, with a demonstrated capacity to deliver comprehensive wellbeing service to students and families in an educational

SC4 Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and network with the wide range of people within the education and wider community.

SC5 Demonstrate a commitment to professional learning and growth and have appropriate qualifications and capacity to perform the roles and duties as described in the ‘schools specific responsibilities’ section

SC6 Demonstrated ability to actively promote the Safety and Wellbeing of all Students in line with the ChildSafe Standards.

**Role**:
The Student Wellbeing Coordinator leads the provision of practical support to students and families. This includes tangible items such as books, school uniforms and other learning resources.

They will have excellent collaboration and communication skills and be able to work highly effectively within the student wellbeing team.

They will be able to identify and evaluate areas of student welfare and/or wellbeing need, and assist in the planning and provision of services and/or programs to meet these needs.

The Student Welfare Coordinator reports to the Student Wellbeing Manager.

**Responsibilities**:
The main duties to be performed by the Student Welfare Coordinator are to:
1. work with the college’s Student Wellbeing team to develop a shared view of highly effective practice in relation to developing and maintaining student wellbeing,

2. participate in the implementation of whole-school Student Wellbeing strategies,

3. support the inclusion of wellbeing related strategies within the School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan,

4. collaborate with school staff, the wellbeing team and support agencies to develop and initiate a range of programs that foster resilience, enhanced social,emotional and educational skills, and building of strong positive working relationships,

5. promote awareness, understanding and skills in the area of student wellbeing,

6. provide individualized and holistic therapeutic support to students and their families where appropriate,

7. coordinate practical support, including books and uniforms, provided by the college to families as required, and

8. perform other duties as may be required by the Principal or Assistant Principals.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The successful applicant will be required to attend for duty from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Applicants should have suitable qualifications and experience in a relevant field of mental health.

Must have a current Working With Children Card.
