**About the service**

Barwon Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Service provides integrated and recovery oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and drug & alcohol issues, and their families.

Our service is internationally recognised for its innovative clinical programs and integrated models of practice that are client centred, accessible and family inclusive. The MHDAS directorate has undergone substantial directorate growth over the past two years as consequence of broader Mental Health reforms and this role plays a key part in ensuring the workforce is acquired to deliver upon these existing and new services.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business, or related discipline
- Extensive knowledge and experience within the fields of Workforce Planning, Recruitment, and Onboarding
- Previous experience working on the recruitment of Health Professionals and creating and leading large recruitment campaigns
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and conflicting priorities

**About the Role**

The Workforce Development Partner will be responsible for developing and coordinating the Mental Health Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) Workforce strategy, including;
- receive direct reports from the Talent Acquisition Navigator Coordinator and the MHDAS Senior Medical Administration Assistant
- centralised workforce planning and workforce reporting
- coordinating education partnerships and stakeholder engagement
- helping to develop, and coordinating, the MHDAS workforce strategy and plan, including recruitment initiatives
- drafting Business Cases to support growth and business alignment
- reviewing and improving MHDAS onboarding and orientation activities
- developing a MHDAS culture plan to support rapid expansion
- overseeing the management of the centralised MHDAS recruitment framework and activities
- developing and implementing “best practice” initiatives for attracting, growing and retaining the best talent

This role will work closely with the leadership team of MHDAS, who will provide significant input into developing the workforce strategy.
