**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role is starting immediately for 3 months with strong potential to extend to 6 months or longer. As a Payroll Support Officer, you will have the opportunity to oversee and manage the payroll process and will be responsible for ensuring accurate data entry and payment processing, as well as providing advice on payroll-related matters. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team in a key Government division.

**DUTIES**
- Process payroll for a large Government organisation in accordance with relevant legislation
- Ensure accurate entry of HR and payroll information into the SAP system
- Maintain accurate records of employee payments and deductions
- Prepare monthly reports on payroll activity
- Ensure that all payroll data is kept secure and confidential
- Liaise with other departments to ensure accuracy of information provided for payroll processing

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in processing payroll with demonstrated ability to maintain integrity of highly confidential information. You will have strong attention to detail and be a strong communicator, both written and verbal. You will be a team player with a can-do attitude and available to commence a new role immediately.
- Proven experience in payroll processing
- Working knowledge of payroll systems and legislation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail
- Experience using SAP highly preferred
