_Revive_.
_Revive _is a 5-year plan to renew and revive Australia's arts, entertainment and cultural sector.

It delivers new momentum so that Australia's creative workers, organisations and audiences continue to thrive and grow, and so that our arts, culture and heritage are re-positioned as central to Australia's future. Revive will change the trajectory of the creative sector and deliver new momentum to Australia's arts, entertainment and cultural sector.

**A little bit about us**

**Office for the Arts** (OFTA) is comprised of six branches that lead the Department’s engagement on arts and culture and provide high quality strategic advice to the Minister on cultural and creative sector policy and program issues. OFTA also administers programs that support Australia’s creative sector and stimulate participation in Australia’s cultural life; and foster employment and growth across the creative sectors.

The
**Collections and Cultural Heritage Branch** administers legislation and programs and provides policy advice relating to the protection and preservation of national collections and Australia’s cultural heritage and property; provides governance support and oversight, and strategic projects relating to the National Collecting Institutions (comprising the Australian National Maritime Museum, National Museum of Australia, National Gallery of Australia, National Library of Australia, National Portrait Gallery of Australia, Museum of Australian Democracy, National Archives of Australia and National Film and Sound Archive), policy and program responsibility for Indigenous Repatriation, administration of international insurance, touring, outreach and access programs.

**The opportunity we have available**
We are looking to fill a position in the Collections and Cultural Heritage Branch on an ongoing basis. The merit list developed from this process may be used to fill other future vacancies at this level and type in OFTA or elsewhere in the Department.

**What will you do?**
You will be required to perform duties in accordance with the APS Values and Code of Conduct. The workload is dynamic and interesting and will involve:

- Supporting grant programs such as the National Cultural Heritage Account which assists collecting institutions acquire Australian cultural heritage material for display or safe keeping
- Providing secretariat support to the National Cultural Heritage Committee
- Undertaking research and assisting with internal and external information requests, including gathering and analysing data, collating information, preparing reports and contributing toward ministerial briefs and other correspondence
- Performing other tasks as required, including supporting the implementation and delivery of policies and programs announced in Revive.
