**Events & Functions Supervisor - Melton**

**The Company**

This entertainment complex prides themselves in giving their customers an unforgettable experience and their staff an amazing work environment. This large venue has a brilliant Harness Racing track, dining facilities, extensive function and event spaces, a sports bar, gaming lounge and 4-star hotel on site. Currently seeking an experienced Functions and Events Supervisor to oversee and co-ordinate the range of events across the venue.

**Responsibilities**
- Execute and manage all aspects of events, including private parties, corporate functions, and more.
- Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements, ensuring their vision becomes a reality.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanour with clientele.
- Effectively communicate with suppliers, vendors, and team members to ensure seamless event execution.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring they are arranged according to client specifications.
- Manage a small team, delegating tasks and ensuring everyone works together harmoniously.
- Pay meticulous attention to detail, from event planning to on-site execution.
- **Be flexible with scheduling and available to work days, evenings and weekends on rotation.**

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in event coordination or related roles.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
- Demonstrated professionalism and discretion when handling client inquiries and confidential information.
- Hands-on approach, with the ability to effectively manage a small team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality events.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations and event planning best practices is preferred.
- A passion for creating memorable experiences and exceeding client expectations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by event schedules.
- Current Victorian Driver Licence
- RSA & Food Handlers Accredited
