About the Role
The Unit Trust Manager/Analyst is a part of the WBP’s Investment team based in Sydney and reporting to the Head of Portfolio Construction. The Investment team is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive investment strategies for some of Australia’s most affluent families, helping them achieve both emotional and financial wellbeing. The position will work closely with WBP’s Advisory team.
The Unit Trust/Analyst Manager’s main responsibilities include:
Developing a sound knowledge of WBP clients, their circumstances and investment needs
Origination, development, monitoring and ongoing due diligence of WBP recommended investment strategies, including liaising with fund managers and collaboration with the WBP Advisory team
Collaboratively working alongside members of the legal, tax and operations team
Participating in WBP Investment Committee meetings to provide analytical insights into the investment case and feasibility of implementation for each recommendation
Assisting in the management of investment pools operated by WBP that facilitate the implementation of clients’ strategies. Activities include liquidity and foreign exchange management, cash management, rebalancing, meeting capital calls and maintaining exposures within tolerance bands consistent with actuarial analysis
Collection of financial and investment information and the preparation of reports, forecasts and statutory returns
Keeping up to date, compliant and knowledgeable on current actuarial techniques, products, legislation, and with continuing professional education as required under WBP’s AFSL, policies and industry standards
Minimum of 2 years of relevant investment analysis experience
Tertiary qualifications in a numerate or financially oriented discipline
Demonstrated ability to understand and explain complex investment concepts to individuals who are not investment professionals
Intellectual curiosity and solid understanding of manager research across a range of traditional and alternative asset classes
Team player, with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, prioritise and organise workflow
About the Offer
You will be part of a high performing and experienced team of professionals who have significant tenure in the family office space. You will receive an attractive remuneration package in the range of $80,000 to $110,000 p.a. along with access to further technical training and an opportunity to advance a career in investment and wealth management sphere.
