**About the branch**
The Finance Property and Procurement Branch provide critical services for the agency and the AIC. The Branch requires a wide variety of skills and experience in order to provide the following functions
- Budget management and reporting e.g. input to portfolio budget statements, management reporting
- Financial reporting e.g. monthly and annual financial statements
- Financial operations e.g. accounts payable and receivable, cash management
- Taxation, travel and credit card services
- Business support e.g. fleet, mail, stationery, office services
- National property projects e.g. fitouts, relocations
- Procurement services
- Language services (linguists)
**About the role**
The Language Services Support Officer is responsible for providing administrative support in organising language services for the processing, translating, interpreting and dissemination of information and intelligence in compliance with statutory compliance processes pursuant to the provisions of the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979, the Surveillance Devices Act 2004 and the ACC Act 2002.
The role provides administrative and technical support to ACIC Linguists and to ACIC multidisciplinary teams in drawing up evidentiary material for legal proceedings.
- Demonstrates experience working in and contributing positively to team operations and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Is able to work unsupervised, self-manage workloads and take responsibility for the completion of tasks within required timeframes.
- Displays good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to contribute to briefings and reports.
