We are looking for someone to join our team at the Ipswich Civic Centre, the leading cultural destination in the heart of the city with an impressive combination of entertainment, function and conference facilities and a year-round program of local, national and international performing arts events.

**About the role**

The Programming Coordinator is responsible for the planning, development, and delivery of Ipswich Civic Centre’s performing arts program. If you thrive on promoting aspirational, diverse, and innovative programs, this role will give you the opportunity to help build audience development and increase cultural and artistic participation in the Ipswich region.

Reporting to the Venues & Performing Arts Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

- Develop and maintain the theatre programming schedule enabling audience development, operational and business outcomes
- Manage the preparation, presentation, and delivery of the annual curatorial and entrepreneurial programming budget
- Produce and manage all aspects of the programming activity including working with artists, developing budgets, input to marketing, negotiating, and managing contracts, monitoring, and reporting
- Work with stakeholders to maximise performing arts opportunities at the Centre and in the region

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- High level of operational and strategic experience in venue management, leading a team of customer-focused staff
- High level project management skills, with the ability to coordinate a variety of tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Substantial skills in financial/business management including revenue generation, budget management, capital planning and contract management
- Relevant qualification/s in the area of theatre operations, technical service provision or equivalent discipline and/or substantial experience to carry out the range of duties required.
- Previous experience programming arts and cultural events
- Current Queensland “C” Class driver’s licence
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a Rigger’s Certificate
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an Elevated Work Platform licence
- Possession of relevant liquor licensing and food handling certification

This is a permanent full time, level 6 position with a salary commencing at $100,533 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
