About the role


As Program Coordinator you will be part of the Program Coordination team and will be responsible for managing the planning and design phase of Capital Delivery projects within the applicable sub-programs and coordinate effective governance through monthly time, cost, risk, and status reporting.

Your main focus will be on the pre-construction phase of the programs and projects through the coordination of stakeholders, planning, scope clarification, approvals and land acquisition / resumption requirements.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the projects within the applicable Programs and Sub-Programs through the concept planning and design phase, from receipt of Project Brief from Project Initiation Planning Teams through to issuing the Final Construction Package to the Delivery Team for Execution and Closure Phases
  • Undertake regular program and project management monitoring, particularly in relation to time and cost performance at program and project levels, against annual sub program budget allocations. This includes providing assistance with annual budget amendments required for the applicable sub programs
  • Assist with procurement activities in relation to tender evaluation and reporting to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with Council and industry specifications and standards
  • Develop and maintain sound professional relationships with stakeholders including internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with the development of the annual IED Capital Delivery Program in conjunction with key stakeholders

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or knowledge and previous experience in the planning and delivery of infrastructure projects
  • Five or more years' experience in project coordination
  • Substantial working knowledge of program and project management systems, financial systems, and software relevant to industry
  • The ability to be resilient, agile, problem solving and part of an experienced diverse team

What's on offer?


This is a secondment / fulltime position through to September 2024, Level 6 to 7 with a salary package commencing at $97,134 to $113,306 plus superannuation of up to 12%.
