**Who are we?**

Wintringham is a not-for-profit organisation providing an extensive range of aged care, housing and related support services to men and women aged 50-plus who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness. We employ over 900 staff and operate from multiple locations across Melbourne, Hobart and regional Victoria. The Ron Conn Nursing Home, located in Avondale Heights, provides high quality accommodation and care to 60 residents who require assistance with daily living and personal care.

**Your new role**

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and tight-knit Ron Conn Nursing Home on a casual basis.

As a Domestic Services Attendant, you’ll be working across our cleaning and laundry teams.

**Your responsibilities and duties will include**:

- Working across the service areas of kitchen, cleaning and laundry
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors
- Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the Home as per cleaning schedule
- Ensuring provision of clean laundry throughout the Home at all times
- To assist with the preparation and serving of all meals, drinks and snacks
- Previous experience in a cleaning/laundry role - preferably in Aged Care/Health Care
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- A non-judgmental approach to working with people
- Qualifications and experience in food handling, infection control, manual handling and the use of cleaning chemicals (highly advantageous)
- Food Safety Certificate and Food Handlers Certificate (highly advantageous)
- Physically able to perform manual tasks including (but not limited to) bending & lifting
