**The Opportunity**

Southport Gardens Retirement Living is a well-established community, set on beautifully maintained grounds, offers the best of both land and sea. Home to 90 independent living units, Southport Gardens has an opportunity for an **Assistant Community Manager **to join our close-knit team. In this new role reporting to an off-site Business Manager, you will work independently to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations and administration of the community. You will enjoy connecting with residents, handling a wide range of administrative tasks and utilising existing skills & experience to deliver a high level of service to this community. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to make the switch to retirement living

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 8-4pm or 8.30-4.30pm.

**You will**:

- Be the first point of contact for residents and their queries and requests
- Effectively handle minor concerns from residents with a solutions-based attitude
- Complete a wide range of administrative tasks including issuing work orders, processing invoices and updating resident information
- Liaise with internal and external staff members, contractors and visitors
- Assist the Community Business Manager with annual budgeting, committee meetings and minute-taking
- Complete scheduled compliance and auditing items
- Ensure the overall culture and operations of the community is smooth and harmonious

**What you'll bring**:

- Experience in an operations-based or customer-facing administration role highly desirable (e.g Hospitality, Tourism, Real Estate or similar industries etc.)
- Intermediate use of Microsoft Suite and highly computer literate as you will learn new programs
- High-level written and verbal communication, negotiation skills and resilience
- Strong focus on customer service and creating a positive culture
- Two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
