We have an exciting full-time permanent opportunity for a **Head of Commercial Finance** to join the NRMA’s Commercial Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead a team to provide commercial and decision support to the Roadside business unit of the NRMA. The role will have primary responsibility for managing a subscription revenue base in excess of $300m and roadside operations including NRMA patrols, 160+ country service network providers, towing providers and driver training and education services.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting cycle and for detailed analysis of subscription and other revenues as well as all aspects of the roadside operations cost base. The Head of Commercial Finance will also provide analytical and decision support to pricing decisions, maintain driver based costing models for the roadside operations and conduct ongoing evaluation of operational effectiveness and efficiency.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement to work from home and across all offices with attendance at our Sydney Olympic Park and Sydney CBD offices as agreed and required for the role.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Commercial planning and analysis for NRMA Roadside
- Ongoing analysis of roadside and contact centre operations to identify risks and opportunities to service levels and financial outcomes and proactively recommend strategies to improve performance
- Identification and development of business ideas and partnerships that support the division’s strategic and financial goals
- Sit in leadership forums and be the key financial business partner for NRMA’s Roadside business
- Provide ongoing commercial and financial support to business stakeholders as well as other external parties as required.
- Lead, develop and inspire a direct report to create a high performance, engaged, customer-centric culture
- Foster a culture of collaboration and information sharing to enable healthy discussion and robust decision making
- Develop and manage annual business plan for the Roadside business
- Communicate monthly insights to aid decision making and influence outcomes to the Roadside leadership teams
- Develop robust business cases to support ongoing investment proposals including analysis for Board papers
- Set and manage expenditure budgets to meet outcomes with both short term and long term considerations.
- Work closely with Group Finance team to produce monthly reports, forecasts and budgets.

***About You**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Commerce or Accounting
- Demonstrated experience in managing businesses with subscription revenues, preferably in developing network costing and profitability models in large infrastructure based organisations such as Subscription businesses, Telco or Utilities
- 10+ years’ experience in Commercial Finance, of which some time has been spent in strategic business partnering
- Experience in working with multiple sources of data sets and delivering end-to-end reporting solutions, preferable but not essential
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Effective leadership and management skills
- Strategic stakeholder engagement
- Ability to develop strong relationships with operational and corporate teams
- Experienced in working in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Developed written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
