About the Role
In this senior position you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational stability and overall quality and performance of the service operations of all contracted services. You’ll represent a broad range of technology (e.g. Windows Servers, Unix Servers, Networks, Security, Storage, IaaS, and Databases), oversee ITIL processes (Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and SACM) in relation to technical delivery of services. The role works closely with the Account Executive, Service Delivery Executive, Portfolio Manager and lead the Technical Delivery Managers to ensure seamless delivery to our customer. You will be a key leadership role engaging and influencing outcomes within a matrix organisational model.
**Please note**: Due to our customer requirements, you must have Australian Citizenship to be considered for this position.
What you’ll do
- Act as the escalation point for both Datacom and our Customer for any issues that arise requiring technical leadership, oversight or engagement
- Build trusted relationships across the customer team; demonstrating understanding of the customers technology landscape, operating model and processes
- Build effective and sustainable operating models and teams, drive a customer centric culture, increase overall customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the overall account strategy, developing roadmaps and lead the execution of improvement plans across all delivery teams.
- Act as a technical delivery champion, representing the customer’s requirements in any dealings with Datacom’s delivery teams, becoming a trusted technical delivery advisor.
**What you'll bring**:
The Technical Operations Manager is integral to the success of the dedicated Account team. As such you will have a solid understanding of operational delivery, be able to take ownership of issues with a real ‘can do’ approach and have proven ability to manage operational delivery within a complex, dynamic environment.
You’ll have
- Senior level experience in a similar role, within large scale, enterprise level environments
- Solid technical leadership of managing a large complex IT ecosystem.
- Clear communications and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to influence and manage outcomes across leveraged teams
- Relationship building and management skills (client, supplier, internal)
- Service management (ITIL)
- A strong project delivery orientation
- Independent and influential leader who isn’t afraid of difficult conversations in order to get the right outcome
- Cost/ financial management experience
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours when required
- Strong Infrastructure technical knowledge with the ability to work across multiple technical teams
