**About the role**

The Standards Australia Program Manager’s primary duty is to manage a team of Project Managers for the delivery of standards development solutions and services using the agreed project management methodology.

**What you'll do**
- Leadership capability emulated through mentoring, coaching and supervision of 6-10 direct reports at an expert level
- Drive team performance to ensure the effective delivery of projects and publications
- Drive team performance to deliver high level of customer service to all SA's stakeholders
- Ensure direct reports are accountable for allocated projects
- Lead regular team meetings and monthly KPI and performance discussions with direct reports
- Ensure compliance to organisational policies such as OHS, EEO and other operational procedures
- Responsible for the assigned portfolio and monitors the delivery of projects from start to completion
- Actively monitors all committee programs of work to agreed deliverables (time frame, risk, scope and quality)
- Coach Project Managers in managing and implementing strategies for projects that are at risk of or have exceeded agreed timelines
- Promote collaboration across multiple internal departments to ensure a common vision and path to success
- Take ownership of key business strategy initiatives and drive departmental change
- Actively participate in strategic and operational projects as required
- Contribute to monthly management reports, as required and within agreed time frames

**About you**
- Degree or equivalent post-secondary qualification in an appropriate discipline. Preferably qualified as a project professional (e.g. PMP, MPM)
- This job requires previous and relevant people and process management skills in a team environment
- Project leadership experience
- Experience with technology as an end-user (e.g. Web conferencing tools, project tools & MS products such as Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM & resource management tools)
