**About the Role**

This role oversees the overall performance of the State Infrastructure Program to provide Government leaders and Ministers the confidence that the $112 billion invested by NSW in infrastructure projects (over the next four years) will achieve the desired outcomes and that capital projects are delivered on-time and on-budget.

The NSW Government is delivering the biggest infrastructure program in Australian history. The program notably includes all metro, rail, road, school, and hospital projects funded by the State with an individual value above $10 million.

This role is your opportunity to help the State deliver this one-in-a-life-time infrastructure program whilst protecting the taxpayers’ contribution and maximising value for money.

Reporting to the Director - Portfolio Performance and Reforms, you will lead and manage to following activities whilst collaborating with the broader INSW team:

- Lead the ongoing analysis of the performance of State-funded capital projects
- Manage the process of and contribute to identifying emerging risks and issues affecting the success of capital projects
- Manage the process of and contribute to identifying recommendations, mitigation measures and reforms to address the above
- Manage and coordinate the monthly reporting to Ministers and Government leaders on the above
- Manage the production of strategic public reports identifying key industry trends and challenges
- Manage targeted assurance reviews on specific capital projects or issues
- Support responses to ministerial and parliamentary requests on the performance of the State Infrastructure Program

**About you**

Ideally, you will have some practical infrastructure industry experience including but not limited to experience working in project teams or in a project risk control or project assurance function. You are at ease with numbers and analytical tasks.

We’re looking for someone with experience in desktop research and structured problem solving, as well as excelling at report writing. We’re looking for a good communicator who is enthusiastic, and who is able to identify and support reform initiatives in the infrastructure sector.***

Infrastructure NSW is a NSW Government agency providing independent, evidence based advice to Government in relation to infrastructure priorities and projects. Its functions and structure are set out in the Infrastructure NSW Act.

Our core functions include providing independent and strategic advice to ensure infrastructure investment decisions are underpinned by robust assessment and long term planning; monitoring NSW’s infrastructure program through independent reviews and expert analysis; recommending infrastructure projects to the NSW Treasurer for funding from the Restart NSW fund; and managing the procurement and delivery of nominated priority projects.
