As Assistive Technology Consultant, you will be responsible for increasing the awareness of Link Assistive’s range of products and services in NSW and the ACT and expand the professional network within the industry.

Link Assistive is a leading Australian supplier of Assistive and Sensory technologies, providing products and services nationwide and beyond.

**About the Opportunity**

You will provide high quality assistive technology support, training and consultation to therapists, their clients, and other key stakeholders.

You will be working with the current NSW team member, as well as the full support from the Link Assistive Clinical Team and management, to expand the companies reach and influence in Sydney’s Assistive Technology market.

This is a rewarding position where you will play a leading role in increasing Link Assistive’s presence in the local region. You will be actively helping people with communication disabilities live better lives through the use of world-leading technology.

You will:

- Actively develop new and existing relationships with other Assistive Technology stakeholders
- Provide Assistive Technology consultation and assessment support for primary clinicians and their clients.
- Provide demonstration of Link Assistive products
- Provide information sessions and / or training to individuals, schools and organisations in the area of Assistive Technology, either face to face or online.
- Provide support and resources to the primary clinician and their client during trials of Link Assistive products
- Perform administrative tasks related to the CRM system including quoting and device trial and rental follow-ups
- Represent Link Assistive at conferences and expos throughout Australia as required
- Develop and publish content for marketing and Social Media
- Maintain and manage provided demo equipment
- Occasionally attend the head office in Adelaide for meetings as required

**About You**

You will have/be:

- Tertiary qualification in a disability related area e.g., Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Biomedical engineer, Special Education, Assistive Technology Consultant
- Registered with the relevant professional association or body, where applicable
- 5 years’ experience in the disability sector
- Knowledge of a wide range of Assistive Technologies including AAC
- Passionate about helping others live an independent, inclusive and connected life
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team member to achieve outcomes independently
- Ability to adapt and learn new systems quickly
- Ability to take initiative and proactively engage in development of new solutions and processes to increase quality and efficiency of services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced skills in using IT across a wide range of platforms

Desirable but not essential:

- Knowledge of or experience working within NDIS and other funding frameworks
- Experience with service delivery via telehealth
- Experience in developing and delivering a range of education and training services such as seminars, professional workshops, presentations and professional development sessions
