**About the role**

In this role, you will be reporting to the WHS Manager within Distribution in our Fuel Supply Chain department.

You will provide advice, support and partner with line and senior leaders on health, safety and wellbeing strategies, initiatives and activities to deliver continuous improvement in WHS performance while meeting compliance and legislative requirements.

**Key responsibilities**
- Analyse and recommend improvements to WHS strategies, process and procedures
- Provide strategic advice and support to the business and seek to reduce risk and injury
- Lead investigations into complex or serious incidents and identifying the root cause and undertake suitable correction actions
- Develop and present safety initiatives including toolbox meeting topics based on needs
- Support the development and implementation of audits and performance management
- Support the business in meeting compliance obligations and related WHS activities

**About you**

You will be someone who is able to analyse risks and trends to prevent incidents from occurring. You are able to move with changing priorities and problem solve complex scenarios. You will have highly developed written and oral communication skills.

**Key skills and experience**
- Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety (or equivalent)
- Formal and recognised qualifications inlead auditor and safety investigations
- Extensive experience in a WHS role
- Proven experience high risk industries such as petroleum or other related industries
- Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment and control including auditing, incident investigation and reporting (Root cause analysis)
