**The Role**:
As a Project Officer, you'll be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of multiple minor built form projects and contracts, guiding them from procurement to completion. Your primary focus will be ensuring timely, within-budget, and top-quality project delivery, aligning with City policies, industry best practices, and codes. Collaborating within a dynamic professional team, you'll provide specialised project consultancy services to various City departments. Reviewing consultant and architect specifications, contract documentation, and communicating necessary amendments will be among your core duties.

Furthermore, your role will involve critically assessing tender and quote submissions, playing a key role in recommending contract awards. Creating and maintaining project management tools, reports, and documentation in accordance with City policies and procedures will also be part of your responsibilities.

**About You**:
To excel in this role, you must possess strong written and interpersonal skills, particularly in verbal communication, enabling you to build robust stakeholder relationships. Your experience in managing and administering construction projects and contracts, coupled with your proficiency in cost control and financial reporting, will be paramount. Moreover, your ability to craft high-quality project scopes, specifications, contracts, estimates, and budgets will be indispensable.

A qualification in project management, construction, engineering, or a related trade field is essential and a clean, valid ‘C’ class driver’s licence. Familiarity with local government operations and an understanding of relevant legislation are highly regarded.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Demonstrated experience in managing and administering construction projects and contracts.
- Diverse construction/trade experience and technical expertise.
- Experience with financial management of multi-disciplinary projects, encompassing budgeting, cost control, and reporting requirements.
- Strong background in managing contractors and tradespersons.
- Ability to produce high-quality project scopes, specifications, contracts, estimates, and budgets.
- Strong written and interpersonal skills, particularly in verbal communication.
- Degree, diploma, or trade qualification in project management, construction, engineering, or a relevant trade field.
- Current 'C' class driver's license.

**What We Offer**:
In return for your expertise and commitment, we offer a competitive remuneration package of $98,711 - $106,711 per annum gross (dependent on skills and experience) including 11% superannuation plus $8,000 per annum profession allowance (paid quarterly), along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

- The option to co-contribute up to an additional 5% toward superannuation.
