**The Position**
This position is offered on a Permanent Full time basis, working 76 hours a fortnight. The role can be based at either our Perth or Melbourne offices.
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Tertiary qualifications in health or related field and a minimum of five (5) years appropriate experience in clinical governance.
- Post graduate training in clinical governance and patient safety.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the capacity to working closely with a wide range of caregivers and clinicians and to communicate and negotiate at senior levels.
- Advanced knowledge of the principles of patient safety, systems theory, quality improvement, and evidence based practice.
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing patient safety and/or clinical quality improvement programs (e.g. National Safety & Quality in Health Service Standards) in large healthcare organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic and pragmatic operational advice at all levels in relation to patient safety and clinical incidents, systems and processes.
- Experience leading interdisciplinary teams and facilitating collaboration between hospitals and services.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and consultation skills including strong influencing, negotiating and engagement skills with senior leaders and teams across all levels of the organisation.
- Advanced IT skills with a working knowledge of data analysis and the range of MS Office suite.
