**About the Role**:
Reporting to the General Manager of Manufacturing, this role is based in Panorama and requires travel to Bedford sites across metropolitan and regional South Australia. Working with a team of WHS Advisors in different area of the business, this role is responsible for assisting with the development of a culture that promotes continuous improvement and the well-being of staff and employees within manufacturing and maintenance areas of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

- managing objectives and targets in-line with the WHS & QA Strategic Plan
- developing and delivering safety initiatives and strategies to raise awareness of WHS
- providing safety guidance and advice to Managers and Supervisors
- maintaining Quality Assurance standards and investigate WHS incidents
- auditing and reviewing processes against standards and internal procedures
- continually improving WHS and Quality system and procedures

**About You**:
You will have a solid WHS and Quality background within manufacturing environment, with extensive knowledge of WHS legislation and standards, and quality management systems. You will genuinely care about the health and wellbeing of our frontline staff as well as the people we support, and you will get a strong sense of achievement from seeing how a safe and healthy workplace can contribute to the happiness and satisfaction of our clients.

Other knowledge, skills and attributes include:

- a formal qualification in WHS or comparable industry experience
- a strong understanding of WHS legislation and standards
- a qualification and / or experience in Quality Auditing and understanding of QMS
- being qualified and experienced in training and assessment
- having strong written and verbal communication skills

For this role the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment with Bedford Phoenix Incorporated:

- a National Police Clearance (no older than six months old)
- a current Driver’s Licence
- NDIS worker screening clearance, or other NDIS approved clearance to work in the disability sector
- evidence of right to work in Australia
- evidence of FULL vaccination (x3) with a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccine, or an acceptable exemption
