**About the Role**
As a Residential Youth Worker, you become the guiding light for young individuals facing high to complex needs and challenging behaviours. Your mission is to provide a stable, therapeutic, and safe "home-like" environment for them.

This is a **Permanent - Part-Time **position working **16hrs per fortnight **within the **Caboolture **area.

This role involves being the primary caregiver during shift, ensuring the safety of young people in care, and imparting essential life skills to establish a consistent routine. Collaborating with the Coordinator and Service Manager, you'll help develop trauma-informed interventions for these young individuals with complex issues.

What a day in the life of a Residential Youth Worker looks like:

- Planning and engaging in meaningful activities with the young person
- Being a vital part of a cohesive team, dedicated to helping young people achieve their personal goals
- Promoting good hygiene and nutrition
- Maintaining daily case notes, handling administrative tasks, and preparing incident reports
- Flexibility is key; you'll be needed for sleepover, weekend, and awake shifts

- A passion for making a difference in young lives, with a focus on one-on-one, relationship-based, trauma-informed care

- A Certificate IV or higher qualification in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Youth Services, Community Services, or a related field
- Current Licensed Care Service (LCS)
- Completion of Hope and Healing Framework training
- Current Queensland Drivers Licence
- The ability to provide two recent referees of supervisors
- Currently there are some programmes that roster 8 hours shifts and some that work 12 -16 hour shifts. Availability to work sleepovers is essential for current needs.
