**About the role**

The Assets Officer Buildings will assist to implement best practice asset management to ensure that all Council property is safe for the public and workers and is managed to maximise the benefit to Council, the community and facility users. The position will collaborate with customers, stakeholders and users to assist in the implementation of the Asset Management Plan that supports Council’s services, meeting community needs and objectives. This position is responsible for maintaining the asset register and the hazardous materials register and undertaking regular condition inspections to support both asset and property management.

**Remuneration**

$66,677.00 - $79,541.80 + Superannuation

**Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications**

1. Qualification at Certificate level in an appropriate discipline together with relevant experience in the collection of data.

2. Knowledge of and experience working with GIS and database management.

3. Understanding of construction lifecycle, maintenance and servicing activities involved in building assets to enable the development of long term maintenance and capital programs.

4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a team environment.
