In this role you will:

- Assist with projects concerned with facilitating entities entering and exiting the Victorian energy market
- Support the Market Operations team deliver high quality work benefiting Victorian energy consumers
The position is within the Market operations function in the energy division. This function is one of the ways the commission can assist Victoria's energy transformation and improve outcomes for Victorian consumers. This role has an exciting opportunity to help shape the changing energy landscape.

Much of the work you will undertake will be under the guidance of an experienced team member. However, there will be opportunities for you to showcase your leadership and initiative skills by leading pieces of work and growing your experience further.

**About us**

The Essential Services Commission is Victoria's independent economic regulator of essential services supplied by a range of industries. The commission's functions include:

- making regulatory decisions with respect to prescribed industries (including price determinations, licensing, customer protection and access disputes).
- undertaking reviews and providing advice to Ministers on a range of economic and regulatory matters.
- administering the Victorian Energy Upgrades program.
