We deliver WA products to the rest of the world - 24 hours a day, seven days a week - by joining the dots between people, products and ports.

We are currently looking for a Commercial and Contracts Officer to join our Commercial team, reporting to the Commercial and Contracts Lead, on a permanent full-time basis at our Perth Airport head office.

**The Role**

The Commercial and Contracts Officer is the primary point of contact for contractual agreements concerning the interfaces between Arc’s network and third party infrastructure such as siding connections including matters relating to works undertaken by Arc for third parties on these areas. The Commercial and Contracts Officer collaborates extensively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure these agreements maintain or improve the standard of railway assets and comply with contractual obligations and safety regulations. The Commercial and Contracts Officer is also responsible for managing and updating the Commercial team’s contract management and records systems.

The role achieves this by:

- Being our key point of contact with both internal and external stakeholders for siding connection infrastructure and works performed for third parties on adjoining infrastructure.
- Providing end to end management of agreements from negotiation and drafting through to execution and finalisation.
- Proactively managing queries effectively by anticipating and responding to internal and external stakeholder needs.
- Working closely with our safety team and third parties to develop, implement and review safety interface agreements.
- Proactively managing the Commercial team’s contract management systems, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
- Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**About You**

We would like you to have:

- Degree in business, commerce, law or similar. Recent graduates, and those new to the rail industry are welcome to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders through building and developing relationships based on trust, integrity, and credibility.
- Demonstrated experience successfully working within a team and autonomously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organisation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial contract negotiation and contract management.
- Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Contract drafting skills desirable but not essential.
- A proactive and positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop technical skills within the role.
