We operate about 100 medical laboratories and 2,000 patient collection centres across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. Each year, we provide one in every three pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia’s largest and most complex private and public hospitals to small and remote Australian Aboriginal communities.**About the role**
- We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated and would be primarily responsible for the rostering team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Coordinating the creation of accurate and efficient rosters for all Collectors
- Filling planned and unplanned vacancies in a timely and appropriate manner
- Effectively managing any Collection Centre closures across the Collector Network through utilisation of a computerised rostering system.
- Daily management of Collection staff timecard exceptions,and to manage the daily openings, closures, and amendments to operational hours in accordance with business requirements of Collection Centres across QML Pathology.
- The Rostering Lead will also be responsible for recruitment and mentoring and training of new & existing members of the rostering team.
- Effectively manage the Rostering Team and all associated tasks with staff management such as Performance Reviews, Pay Reviews, Annual Leave Management, WHS Team Management etc.
- Ensure rosters within designated area are available at least two (2) weeks in advance of the current date.
- Create and maintain staff profiles in Workforce Dimensions and ensure they accurately reflect position, hours, award, area, and shift.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry on WFD of any changes to shifts.
- Ensure all updates or changes to rosters due to personal leave, shift swap requests or other unforeseen requirements are actioned in WFD.
- Ensure all communications are attended to in a positive and courteous manner providing accurate and appropriate information if requested.
- Ensure timely, accurate and appropriate management of vacancies within Collections.
- Monitor casual employee: availability recorded, numbers of declined shifts and variability of areas/shifts worked.
- Ensure Reliever Collectors are utilised to the full extent of their contracted hours within the most efficient radius of their nominated hub.
- Liaise with Commercial Team, and Collection Supervisor as soon as possible if vacancies cannot be filled or only partially filled.
- Regular oversite of Rostering Officers and changes made to Rosters and Workforce Dimensions.
- Provide comprehensive reporting as required
- Attend regular meetings with Collection Supervisors, Area Managers & Business Managers.
