**The Opportunity**
- Contribute to the program partnering with industry to transform workforce development
- Part-time (17.5 hrs per week), fixed term contract to June 2026
- $112,154 - $126,366 + 17% super + leave loading, pro-rata

The Defence Trailblazer for Concept to Sovereign Capability is a $250 million enterprise powered by the University of New South Wales and the University of Adelaide, with funding from the Australian Government, the universities and industry partners, to transform the way universities and academics work with industry.

This newly created role sits within the Workforce, Innovation and Culture Stream designed to skill the defence industry workforce of today and shape the workforce of tomorrow. You’ll play a key role in securing and managing work integrated learning (WIL) placements and projects for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students to be immersed in real-world industry environments and amidst technical challenges throughout their degrees.

Reporting to the Director of Experience, Pro Vice Chancellor Education and Student Experience Portfolio at UNSW and a dotted line to the Defence Trailblazer Workforce Portfolio Manager, you’ll work in close collaboration with the WIL Program Coordinator, Defence Trailblazer and the Senior Research Internship Coordinator at the University of Adelaide, as well as equivalent roles at the University of New South Wales.

**About the successful applicant**

You can demonstrate your WIL program management experience including industry partner engagement across academic courses and programs, as well as the following Skills and Experience:

- Service orientation with highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills and demonstrated success building and maintaining positive and effective partnerships at all levels both internally and externally.
- Project planning experience, encompassing strategic, conceptual, and analytical skills to deliver projects on agreed timelines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and to contribute positively and proactively to the team’s work.
- Reliability, initiative and judgement and the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including proven ability to develop and deliver presentations, prepare business reviews and reports for internal and external dissemination.
- Advanced computer literacy
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives, and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training
