We are seeking a passionate and experienced, part-time Patient Services Officer (Medical Receptionist) to join our Footscray team.
On offer is a part-time role (fixed for 12 months), working the following 5 day fortnight schedule
- Week 1, Monday and Friday - 8 hours per day
- Week 2, Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 8 hours per day
What you’ll do:
- Act as the first point of contact and greeting patients on arrival
- Make and manage patient appointments for numerous Specialists
- Collect patient information, maintaining patient privacy and accurate data entry
- Complete administration including document scanning
- Manage a large volume of patient telephone enquiries
- Billing and receipting of accounts to patients, Medicare and DVA
- Liaise with Doctors, Radiation Therapists, Specialists, Nurses and peers
- Comple tasks as allocated by the Centre Leader
Who you are:
- Exceptional phone manner, excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work autonomously and complete work within tight time frames
- Superior customer service and exceptional communication skills with the ability to work as an effective team member with flexibility to respond to fluctuating workflows
- Positive, enthusiastic and a genuine love of working in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism
- Proficient computer skills
- Flexibility to cover shifts from 7:30am to 6pm on weekdays according to patient volumes
- Healthcare experience preferred
