Reporting to the Chief Scientist, PAH Anatomical Pathology Administration you will use your medical typing skills to transcribe electronic and handwritten medical reports into the laboratory information system in a proficient manner to meet reporting deadlines. This will include all medical typing and patient registration.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:

- Current knowledge of medical terminology and well-developed keyboard and data entry skills.
- Ability to determine priorities, coordinate and finalise work within required time frames.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to enable communication with internal and external clients.
- Ability to register and track Anatomical Pathology material (slides and blocks).

Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
- While not mandatory, completion of a medical typing or medical terminology course or previous experience in anatomical pathology medical typing would be well regarded.
- Please detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD and Covid Vaccination) requirements
- It will be a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against one or more of the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: Hepatitis A & B, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, Rubella and Varicella.
- Additional vaccinations including Japanese Encephalitis and Rabies may also be required for this position.
