Voted one of the Gold Coast’s most popular tourist destinations, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the crown jewel of the National Trust of Australia (Queensland) [NTAQ] properties. As one of Queensland’s earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to **protect, conserve, and celebrate the Environmental, Built and Cultural heritage of our State**.

As we continue to welcome visitors to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and share our conservation story - we have an opportunity for passionate, energetic, and experienced Casual Wildlife Keeper to support our dedicated Wildlife team and connect with our animals and visitors.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Wildlife Supervisors, we are seeking a professional applicant who will work alongside our Wildlife team and will be involved in duties such as, but not limited to; animal husbandry, animal health, record keeping and enclosure maintenance. We are seeking professional applicants who will be energetic, enthusiastic and have a high level of general wildlife knowledge and professional customer service skills.

***About You** **To be successful in this role, you will have a Certificate III Wildlife and Exhibited Animal care (Previously Cert III in Captive Animals). You will have the ability to work independently and provide accurate daily updates and reports as required. Other key skills and qualifications we are looking for include:

- Can deliver a high level of friendly customer service to all domestic & international visitors.
- Be prepared to work in an outdoor environment, in all weathers, in a role that requires substantial walking in a workplace that contains animals including birds and reptiles.
- Has a high level of energy, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Must be flexible and reliable with a positive ‘can do’ attitude in our team environment.
- Ability to carry / support up to 10kg for a prolonged period.
- Must be prepared to complete all necessary training and immunisations as may be required for this role.
- Flexible and availability to work across weekends and school holiday holidays.
