As we continue to welcome visitors to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and share our conversation story - we have an opportunity for a passionate, energetic and experienced Part time **Wildlife Keeper **to support our Birds round within the Wildlife department.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Life Sciences Manager, our passionate Wildlife Keepers work to ensure the welfare of our animal collection by ensuring a high level of animal and health husbandry. As our passionate and hands-on Wildlife Keepers you will support exhibit maintenance to ensure the exhibit is well maintained.

This role will require a high standard of knowledge of captive husbandry of Native Australian birds. It will involve duties such as, but not limited to; animal husbandry, animal health, exhibit maintenance, keeper talks, and display excellent customer service and park knowledge to drive the visitor experience and share our conservation stories.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have a Certificate III Captive Animal Management. In addition, you must be able to deliver high levels of customer service in an energetic, friendly, and professional manner within a busy team environment. Other key skills and qualifications we are looking for include:

- Wildlife handling, husbandry skills and previous experience in this area is essential
- Excellent customer service skills and able to work with a variety of people.
- Energetic and friendly personality and confidence with domestic and international visitors
- Be prepared to work in an outdoor environment, in all weathers, in a role that requires substantial walking in a workplace that contains animals including birds and reptiles.
- Ability to carry / support up to 10kg for a prolonged period.
- Hold a current manual Driver’s licence and current First Aid qualifications is highly desirable.
- Flexible and availability to work across weekends and school holiday holidays.
