**About the Hotel - W Melbourne**

W Melbourne is the rebel between the streets, sitting in the heart of the Melbourne CBD on the iconic Flinders Lane, the luxury hotel takes its design cues from Australia’s cultural capital and providing the back-lane entrance keys to what’s New/Next in the city. Extending the laneway culture inside, 294 bold rooms and suites peel back the layers and revel in the city’s history. **What You Will Do**
- Welcome guests warmly and ascertain their party size.
- Efficiently seat guests at clean and ready tables, providing menus.
- Navigate guests through dining areas, offering assistance when necessary.
- Adjust table arrangements to accommodate special needs.
- Ensure place settings are complete, including clean silverware and napkins.
- Maintain up-to-date, clean, and well-conditioned menus.
- Keep the work area clean throughout the shift.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with team members.
- Work collaboratively to achieve common goals.
- Address and respond to team members' concerns appropriately.
- Uphold the establishment's quality standards.
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.
- Set tables according to event type and service standards.
- Answer questions on menu selections.
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability.
- Relay additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverage.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day.
- Complete opening & closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights.
- Present physical and accurate checks to guests and process payments.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
